"Mavelvis" (mave-elvis) is the music of singer/songwriter Mavis Jennings.  However,  Mavelvis' current CD 'XRNR' could not have been brought to fruition without the help and talents of many musicians that he's played with while touring with two shows produced by Cirque du Soleil - Quidam and currently Varekai.  Those core musos are highlighted on this website.

Mavis Jennings grew up in a trailer park in northwestern Ohio in the middle of a small town called Pataskala. His parents were very young when he was born, and they hosted many parties.  Rock records were always spinning on the turn table and Mavis would take it upon himself to sing along whenever the chance arose and it did often.

After graduating from Ohio State, Mavis moved to New York City where he went in search of a music career.  He sang with funk band 'Indigo' for about a year. They played mostly clubs in Harlem and the South Bronx. Later, he teamed up with Andrew Hahn & Paul Holditch to form the rock band "SideCar Jones". SideCar Jones had an album produced by Peter Denenberg of "Spin Doctors" fame. They played a TON of shows including the Wetlands, Tramps & the Lone Star Road House in NYC. They traveled and worked great deal to play their music and share their self-titled CD.

Mavis is currently traveling in Europe singing to packed audiences under a white Cirque du Soleil Big Top while working on his second CD titled "Return to Puterdise" as well as promoting "XRNR".
