Not only is this music meant to touch the hearts, minds and souls of people who have yet to hear it, but it's also meant to mend, encourage, and give thanks to some folks encountered on the road so far. So, the thanks go to the currently breathing as follows..... To ALL ... to Natalie and Mabel, to King, to Laurie Glardino for your generosity in supplying the "map" room to saw in, paint in and finally to make noise in to all hours of the night. To fantastic friends Cathy, Raf, Paul & Andrew, Ivan & Coleen, Jimmy & Kimmy & family, Nancy & Ed, Tim & Diane, Holly Nye & Alyson Ling. To all the musos of the world. To Circus of the Sun (in French), Guy, and everybody in that "parallel" world of Cirque Du Soleil that makes so many wonderful dreams come true. Thank you to temptation, so you can see your day so I can be free at night to make some songs. Mavelvis.

Mavis Jennings sang and wrote words to Andrew Hahn and Paul Holditch's jangle, which became "Until the sun Dies", and then he, that's me, wrote some other songs also found on "XRNR" {ex-er-ner} which were promptly recorded on a four track cassette tape. Then, with the help of Michael Picton, Mavis put the songs on a CD from a mix down on a mini-disc.....(I didn't have a computer yet, but as you see I used other gadgets)... Mavis continued by sending the CD to BJ and Seb, who were working together on a tour from that parallel world mentioned above...

We later decided upon a date to record the songs in Lakeview, Ohio, where the challenge was to get as much down in 6 days as possible. I stayed after to drive Joe, from Joemon Studios(Bellefontaine, Ohio), completely mad with my over and over and over tweaking of the demo that at the time didn't have bass guitar on a majority of the songs ... sorry about that Joe. Later, Michael Picton and Rob Heaney came in to add those basses and my soon-to-be 2nd draft vocals, as well as loads of other stuff at Fast Forward Studios, Montreal (thanks for selling my keyboard Barney!). Then, after a few months on tour in Japan, I flew from Tokyo to Montreal for a week to do the mix with Rob and Michael. Unfortunately, I was only able to come back to tour with one song almost finished. So, after a few more months, I flew back for a week on my next break and this time no songs were mixed. So.... frustrated and exhausted, I was pleased when Michael stepped up and tried to save the day with an EP of XRNR. It was nice to have an EP, but it didn't encapsulate the story that I felt the album was meant to tell. Thus, I waited and decided not to share XRNR until it was really 'finished'. XRNR has been a journey on so many levels. I am very excited and happy to finally get the chance to share it with you.

Special thanks goes to Sebastian Theriault for taking it to the final mix and master, while traveling and working in Montreal, South Korea, Japan and China. You Rock!
